CBT for Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety can manifest in different ways and there are several different types of anxiety, known as specific anxiety disorders. It's not at all necessary for you to know which type of anxiety disorder you might be experiencing at the start of therapy.
Anxiety is anxiety, whichever disorder it falls under, and sometimes we don't fit into a perfect box and that's fine too. The good news is that regardless of which anxiety disorder you might be experiencing, CBT is the number one recommended treatment for anxiety.

CBT for Depression
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Depression begins with understanding how your depression developed, how it presents itself, and what maintains it.
We then work on modifying your activity levels and challenging negative thinking using a variety of CBT tools and techniques such as Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy techniques are also used.
We then focus on adjusting any unhelpful rules and negative core beliefs that may be part of the problem, and create a relapse prevention plan to prevent future episodes of depression occurring.

Parent led Challenging Behaviour
This intervention aims to promote positive relationships, attachment, and pro-social behaviour through sensitive responding.
Parents will be equipped with the skills to provide appropriate routines, boundaries and limit setting. This intervention is ideal for children between the ages of 3-8 years old. These strategies are also beneficial to children who may also have ADHD or ASC diagnosis

About me
I am a clinical psychologist with 10 years of experience in clinical trials, qualitative methods, epidemiology and delivering psychological interventions within the National Health Service, private and voluntary sectors in the UK, Southern Asia, and Caribbean. I use an approach that aims to understand how and why difficulties may have arisen and what needs to change. My approach is empathic, non-judgemental and collaborative. I encourage clients to use their natural creativity to explore and connect with their experiences, bodies and nervous systems, perceptions and feelings to move towards greater self-awareness and freedom from feeling stuck, distressed or hopeless. I specialise in supporting those who are struggling with stress, depression, self-esteem, anxiety disorders, those who are in crisis including suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviours and parents with children with challenging behaviour.
I have gained a diverse range of clinical experience across several roles, and I’m particularly interested in the development and evaluation of accessible, acceptable and effective treatments for mental health difficulties.
I aim to positively change the culture around mental health by supporting committed individuals to reach their full potential.
